How much will I save by manufacturing in China?

Chinese labor and raw material costs are both substantially cheaper than labor and materials in the US.  The hourly pay of one US factory worker has the ability to pay for an hourly wage of 25-35 native Chinese workers.  U.S. based companies manufacturing labor-intensive items will have the greatest gains from Chinese production.
Even if your company isn’t involved in labor-intensive products, most capital-intensive products are still much cheaper in Asia.  Going direct with the help of ImpEx employees will ensure that you receive the most inexpensive price while maintaining strict, hands-on quality control.

Two examples:
Labor-intensive sandals: ImpEx recently helped outsource factories for a company manufacturing promotional products.  The original quoted price on US manufactured sandals was $5.25 a pair.  Hoping to improve pricing they found a trading group here in the US that manufactured a similar sandal in China..  The trading group’s price was $2.75.  ImpEx consultants found a reputable factory in China to produce their sandals for $.79 a pair saving the company $4.46 on each pair (Chinese sandals were 15% of the original US price).

Capital-intensive bottle labels: Last year ImpEx worked with a bottled water manufacturer.  They were producing their highly sophisticated labels in the US at $.80 a label.  ImpEx found a factory in Taiwan to make the exact same label for $.025 saving them $.055 a label (Labels were 30% of the original US price).  This company saved over $550,000 the first year they did business with a direct manufacturer.
